From Sketch to Screen: Creating an Immersive 3D Looping Website Promo

Every great project starts with an idea. For this one, it all began with a simple sketch on paper. I wanted to create a visually engaging website promo that not only showcased my skills in 3D animation and motion design but also pushed the boundaries of real-time rendering. The result? A seamless, immersive 3D looping animation built using Blender and Unreal Engine.

Concept & Design

The first step was sketching out the composition and motion flow. I wanted a loop that felt natural, fluid, and engaging—something that would instantly grab attention without feeling repetitive. Once the concept was nailed down with pencil and paper, I moved into Blender to start modeling the core elements.

Bringing the Vision to Life in 3D

Using Blender, I designed and animated the assets, focusing on smooth motion and clean geometry. The goal was to create an elegant, polished animation that would translate well into real-time rendering. After refining the animation, I brought everything into Unreal Engine to take advantage of its real-time lighting and rendering capabilities.

Real-Time Rendering with Unreal Engine

One of the most exciting aspects of this project was leveraging Unreal Engine for real-time rendering. The ability to make instant adjustments to lighting, reflections, and camera movement gave me a level of creative control that traditional rendering pipelines can’t match. The result? A high-quality looping animation with dynamic lighting, smooth motion, and a visually rich presentation—all optimized for web display.

Final Thoughts

This project was a perfect blend of artistic vision and technical execution. It not only highlights my skills in 3D modeling, animation, and real-time rendering but also serves as a testament to how powerful modern tools like Blender and Unreal Engine can be for creating immersive digital experiences.
